Don’t read this if you are my mum.

Its my mums birthday this weekend and apart from being excited that we will be eating twelve hour pulled pork, its a chance to try out a craft I found a few months ago and have been dying to recreate.

Little felt fortune cookies, spied on Curly Birds are just about the cutest things I’ve ever seen. It took me no time at all to create a bunch of them and fill with little notes of love and happiness for her gift.

You will need a circle of felt 3 inches in diametre, I traced around a glass tumbler.

Fold the felt in half and either hand or machine stitch just past the middle, then backstitch.

Slip in a little note before turning inside out and manipulating the felt to look like a cookie.

I adore these and keep thinking of uses for them, birthday party thank yous, weddings, dinner party place settings so cute! I’m making a bunch to fill my apothecary jars for days when I need a little pick me up.
