For the lovers

We adore a reason to celebrate down at Rainbow Lane and Valentine’s Day is up there with the best of them. Any chance to show my family how much I adore them is one taken. A quick and easy craft completed in a lunchtime with leftover felt was the best way to embrace the day of love.

Simply cut out a heart from paper and use as a pattern to cut as many felt hearts as adored ones you have. You will need a front and back piece per heart.

Embroider or write the initial of your beloved, we chose to use vintage rick rack simply sewn with the machine. This took the most time of all, before a simple job of machine stitching the hearts together.  Sandwich a piece of ribbon in between the pieces to create a felt corsage to be worn with pride! Make sure you leave a small opening to stuff your heart before stitching closed. You could easily hand stitch this little gift with a contrast thread.

My favourite people awoke this morning to kisses on their pillows and hearts nestled beside their cheek. We had a hasty breakfast before spreading the love around our little village on the peninsula.
